Aisha Hanif is a mental health speaker, engineer and Founder of The Unconventional Group Ltd. Best known as one of only five engineers to work directly on ECU software for every Formula One car globally, Aisha combines elite engineering experience with an honest perspective on resilience, personal growth and high performance. Aisha graduated from the University of Manchester with a First Class degree in Chemical Engineering before becoming Health and Technical Safety Co-ordinator at GKN Automotive. She later completed an Advanced Motorsport Engineering MSc at Cranfield University while volunteering with a race team, experiences that strengthened her understanding of the pressures associated with high-performance environments. Her academic and professional journey enables her to discuss resilience, overcoming barriers and maintaining wellbeing with authenticity.

Beginning her motorsport career as a Graduate Embedded Software Engineer at McLaren Applied, Aisha progressed to Business Development Associate at SDO Associates, Interim Project Manager at Ginetta Cars and Project Planner for the Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team. She has led end-to-end vehicle programmes and Formula One projects, bringing first-hand experience of thriving under pressure and navigating demanding careers. These experiences add practical value to her talks on professional and personal growth, female leadership, STEM careers and diversity in motorsport.

Aisha has also contributed her engineering expertise to the production and filming of Channel 4’s ‘Pile Up: World’s Largest Crash Test’.
