Christine McGuinness is a television personality, author and autism advocate whose openness about her late diagnosis has reshaped public understanding of neurodiversity. Crowned Miss Liverpool in 2007, Christine first stepped into the public eye through modelling and television, later becoming a cast member on ‘The Real Housewives of Cheshire’ from 2018 to 2020. In recent years, she has become widely respected for using her platform to raise awareness of autism, winning Celebrity of the Year at the 2023 National Diversity Awards and Media Champion of the Year at the 2025 British Diversity Awards. Her lived experience and honest storytelling make her a powerful and relatable speaker.

Christine’s early career included appearances on popular television programmes such as ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’ and ‘All Star Mr and Mrs’, alongside her work in modelling and media. However, her professional direction shifted significantly following her autism diagnosis at the age of 33. Receiving a late diagnosis brought clarity to many of her life experiences and inspired her to speak openly about identity, masking and self acceptance. Determined to create change, she began advocating not only for herself but for other women who may have gone undiagnosed or misunderstood.

In 2021, Christine released her autobiography, ‘A Beautiful Nightmare, My Story’, offering a candid account of her personal journey. She also co presented the BBC documentary ‘Paddy and Christine McGuinness, Our Family and Autism’, which was nominated for an Authored Documentary at the 27th National Television Awards. In 2023, she fronted ‘Christine McGuinness, Unmasking My Autism’, earning a further nomination at the 28th National Television Awards. Alongside her memoir, she has authored children’s books including ‘Amazing Me, Amazing You’ and ‘The Magic is You, The Magic is Me’, championing confidence and inclusion from an early age. Her appearance on the ‘How To Fail with Elizabeth Day’ podcast in 2025 further cemented her reputation as a thoughtful and reflective voice on resilience.

Christine is hired as a speaker for her authenticity, vulnerability and advocacy for neurodiversity and mental wellbeing. She speaks candidly about late diagnosis, motherhood, identity and resilience, helping audiences better understand autism and the impact of masking. By sharing her journey with warmth and honesty, Christine empowers organisations and communities to build inclusive cultures where difference is recognised as strength rather than limitation.
