Ife Thomas is a hugely popular author, media personality and mental health speaker who knows exactly how to build confidence and self-esteem. A former dancer who supported some of the world’s biggest acts, her career was brought to a premature end after she suffered a knee injury. This devastating blow meant she was forced to reassess her entire life plan working in corporate finance and latterly motivational speaking. As a mental health speaker, Ife is able to show people how to overcome adversity, boost self-esteem and live a more confident life.
Following her injury, Ife realised she needed a new career. This led her to learn the skills of corporate accountancy and she later became the Director of the Ladder Agency and Managing Director of the National Accountancy Network. Ife also founded the National Network of Chartered Accountants demonstrating her commitment to making a difference to those in the industry. From here Ife decided that wellbeing was her next calling creating her own business MindWorkOut. The business is focused on mental health and wellbeing helping people to rid their brain of negative thoughts and think positively, something that can be seen through the Confidence Star product. Passionate about self-empowerment and body positivity, Ife has spoken for MIND mental health charity, amongst other clients about the benefits of a good mentality.
Before her journey into business and wellbeing, Ife was very much part of the entertainment industry. A backing dancer on X Factor she supported the likes of Elton John, Paul McCartney and Leona Lewis before entering the Big Brother house in 2010. A traumatic knee injury soon followed leaving her dream career in tatters. Instead of focusing on the negatives, Ife boosted her own self-esteem making herself a more resilient person. Both skills she can bring to her mental health speaking events.
Highly sought-after, Ife is an infectious mental health speaker having given talks to organisations such as Mind, the National Autistic Society and the Hope Centre.
“Ife as usual, is full of hard facts and home truths. It will stab many parents in the chest (it did me) for those things they have done that have affected their children in ways that, on reflection, they would rather not have. But at the same time it provides the solutions for accepting these errors, learning and moving on”- Richard
“Ife has an infectious energy, and a real passion about helping others. Her inspirational way with words, along with the ways in which she explains things is mesmerising. Knowing that she studied her profession but also lives it in real life means she gives practical advice and can be empathetic with the parents she works with. Would highly recommend taking a listen to what this lovely lady has to say”
