International music sensation turned mental health advocate, Jordan Stephens has had quite the career, and shows no signs of slowing down. One half of the duo Rizzle Kicks, Jordan has topped the UK charts, and is now using both his talent and platform to raise awareness of the mental health crisis. Having experienced mental health issues personally, Jordan is a sought-after speaker on the topic and an example of the positives of overcoming your demons. Additionally, he offers strategies to corporate clients to better support their employee’s wellbeing, for a more productive and successful workplace.

Despite enjoying the height of popularity for his award-winning music, Jordan was silently struggling, fighting a losing battle to his mental health. Unaware he was suffering from depression for several years; Jordan masked his emotions with substance abuse until the deaths of two people close to him triggered a downward spiral. After seeking help and receiving therapy, Jordan was determined to use his prominence to get others to speak out when they are struggling.

As a successful music artist, Jordan rose to fame when he collaborated with fellow Brit School attendee, Harley Alexander-Sule to form Rizzle Kicks. Following the launch of their debut album in 2011, the duo shot straight to the top of the charts, thanks to their laid-back style and original music. Some of their biggest hits include Down with the Trumpets and Mamma Do the Hump, and more recently Jordan has carved an equally successful solo career under the name Al the Native.

In his advocacy work for improved mental health services, Jordan has fronted the #IAMWHOLE campaign which uses social media, music and events to raise awareness and funds for mental health charities like CALM. Jordan also spearheaded the Digital Detox Day to encourage people to step away from negative social media, and is the host of the Whole Truth podcast, which discusses wellbeing. An accomplished speaker, Jordan has presented for several clients and events including a TEDx talk, and is sought after as a recognisable expert on the topic.
