Becoming the Top 1%

Maya Raichoora is a passionate mental health expert and keynote speaker whose work is deeply rooted in her lived experience. As Co-Founder of Remap, a company championing mental fitness through practical tools and strategies, she has become a powerful voice in the conversation around proactive mental wellbeing. Her journey began at age 15, when she was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis — a chronic illness that caused constant pain. Rather than let her condition define her, Maya turned to visualisation, a technique that helped her retrain her brain and regain control over how she thought, felt, and performed. This transformational approach laid the foundation for her signature topics as a speaker, including mental fitness, visualisation, and achieving the elite mindset required to reach the top 1%.

Maya’s career reflects a blend of innovation, leadership, and social impact. After graduating from the University of Bristol with an MSci in Geography with Innovation in 2017, she quickly established herself in the innovation space, working as a consultant for B24/7 and the nowhere Group Ltd. She later joined the Innovation Team at Landsec and took on leadership roles such as President at Enactus, and she co-hosted the Young Entrepreneur podcast. These roles reflect Maya’s ability to bridge creativity with meaningful change, and they laid the groundwork for founding Remap in 2020 — a company that embodies her belief in transforming mental health from crisis response to daily proactive practice.

Her accomplishments continue to gain recognition. In 2017, Maya was awarded the Santander Innovation Scholarship, marking her early potential. She also worked as an App Designer for the Dove Self Esteem Project at Unilever, further aligning her career with wellbeing. Most recently, Maya delivered a powerful TEDx talk titled Why Mental Fitness is the New Mental Health in 2024, and in 2025, she published her first book, Visualise: Think, Feel, Perform Like the Top 1%, establishing her as an authoritative voice in the field of personal performance and mental resilience.

Maya’s approach is both practical and deeply human. Her speaking topics — from unlocking elite mental fitness to mastering visualisation — are grounded in her own lived experience and decades of innovation and advocacy. She connects with audiences not just as an expert, but as someone who has walked the path herself. Maya is hired by organisations, schools, and leadership groups looking to go beyond surface-level motivation and instead equip people with lasting strategies to improve mental wellbeing, elevate performance, and build resilience in the face of adversity.
