Outstanding comedian turned mental health advocate, Ruby Wax OBE is considered to be one of the world’s most influential wellbeing speakers. She has supplied countless transformative speeches, including her popular 2012 TED Talk, where she discussed the many faces of stress, anxiety and depression. In 2015, the same year that she received her OBE, she was appointed Visiting Professor in Mental Health Nursing at the University of Surrey, before being appointed Chancellor of the University of Southampton in 2019. As a comedian, Ruby combines humour and thought-provoking discussion of mental health to resonate with audiences, evidenced through her debut show, Losing It. Her transformative impact is credited to Ruby’s extensive career in entertainment, which includes such appearances as The Full Wax and The Ruby Wax Show.
